What is the Child Study Team?

The Child Study Team (CST) is made up of a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, and a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC). The CST is involved in all areas of Special Education. Some responsibilities include; identifying students with academic difficulties, evaluation of students to determine eligibility for special education services, development and review of Individual Education Programs (IEPs), and placement in appropriate programs/classes for academic success. The CST works closely with related services providers (OT, PT, and Speech) as well as collaborates with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that students are provided with an appropriate education to fit their needs.
