Bayshore Honor Society

The Bayshore Honor Society is an organization that recognizes outstanding academic achievement and many hours of volunteer work in both the school and the community.

Academic eligibility is determined by the beginning of the second semester of either Grade 7 or Grade 8.  To become academically eligible a student must make the honor roll five out of six marking periods in his/her current grade and the grade prior.

Those who qualify academically will be notified and given a student activity form.  This form will allow students to demonstrate eligibility in both school and community service.  The Awards Committee will determine the selection based on demonstrated dedication to both areas of service.  Students need to keep a record of service and have advisors sign off on it.  (A sample form is located on our website.) Certificates are also accepted.

As educators, we are pleased by and promote the importance of good grades, but we take special pride that Bayshore citizens continue to dedicate themselves to the tradition of school and community involvement.
