Introduction:

Mrs. McGee needs your help to make a "Penguin Information Bulletin Board" for the hallway. She would like each student to help her find information about penguins for this Bulletin Board and for a Kidspiration project. Do you think you will be able to help?

Task:

The students will use technology resources to gather data or information on "Penguins". The teacher and students will create a Kidspiration project from the information provided from the resources. Through a Unitedstreaming video and resources students will be introduced to some different species of penguins and be able to discuss their similarities and differences, where they live and what they eat, and some interesting facts about each penguin.

Process:

1. Your teacher will assign you a species of penguin to research from the list in the resources below.

3. You will receive the "Penguin Fact Chart" to help as a guide to find information needed for the Kidspiration project.

4. The teacher will use the Projector to review the following: 

a.) how to get to this webquest
b.) how to locate the information for your "Penguin Fact Chart"

5. You will fill out the "Penguin Fact Chart" with the needed facts that are requested and don’t forget to draw a picture of your penguin.

6.  All the gathered electronic information will be used to create a penguin web in Kidspiration.
