PTA Executive Board
Duties of Officers
The President
shall preside at all meetings of the PTA and of the Executive
Committee/ Board; shall perform such duties as assigned to him/her
by the PTA or by the Executive Committee/ Board, and shall coordinate
the work of the officers and committees of the PTA.
The
Vice–Presidents
shall act as aides to the president and shall, in their designated
order, perform the duties of the President in his/ her absence.
The 1st
Vice–President
besides being the
president’s “Right Hand Man” shall be in charge of coordinating
programs. These include the New Parents Coffee, the Teacher’s
request program, and the coordinating of speakers for evening
meetings including Candidate’s Night.
The 2nd
Vice–President
shall be in
charge of all fundraising that takes place for the school.
The Treasurer
shall have custody of all funds of the PTA; shall keep an accurate
record of receipts and expenditures; shall payout local funds in
accordance with the approved budget, shall be responsible for the
maintenance of such books of the accounts and records, and shall
present a financial statement of accounts at every meeting and at
other times when requested by the Executive Committee/ Board.
The Recording
Secretary
shall record minutes of all meetings of the PTA and of the Executive
Committee/ Board, and shall have a copy of the approved bylaws and a
membership list available at every meeting.
The Corresponding
Secretary
shall conduct the general correspondence of the organization as
directed by the President, Executive Committee/ Board and the
Lincroft PTA.
