New Monmouth PTA Programs
Dear Parents,
For our PTA to be successful in providing quality programs and events for your children, we need the help of our most precious resource, YOU, our parents! It takes all kinds of volunteers - help from home, at an event, or take a leadership role and be a committee chairperson! Whatever time you are able to give, in whatever capacity, you are always welcome. If you are interested in being part of a committee, fill out the form at the end of the list. Please return the form to your oldest child's teacher no later than September 23, 2008.

Beautification - Kathy Connelly & Marie Malizia, Chairpersons
Volunteers help to spruce up the outside of the school, inside the main lobby and the PTA bulletin board with seasonal and holiday decorations.
Bingo Night - Christine Koenig, Chairperson
Volunteers will help plan for and set-up on the night of the event, as well as solicit area businesses for raffle prizes.
Board of Education Representative - Jenn Rozzo, Chairperson
Volunteer attends the monthly Board of Education meetings and informs our PTA members of issues discussed.
Book Fair - Christine Dudek & Joann Giamundo, Chairpersons
Volunteers help with set-up, book selection, and clean-up for our fall and spring book fairs.
Bottlecappers - Jacqui Armenti, Chairperson
Volunteers meet and greet high school students that visit our school to promote awareness about healthy lifestyle choices.
Box Tops for Education - Lori Horch, Chairperson
Volunteers collect and count box tops and encourage children/families to participate in the program.
Budget Awareness Committee - Jenn Rozzo, Chairperson
Volunteer raises awareness for the Board of Ed budget process and encourages parents to vote.
Campbell's Soup Labels - Pam Paul, Chairperson
Volunteers collect and count Campbell Soup labels and encourage children/families to participate in the program.
Celebrity Readers - Christine Koenig, Chairperson
Volunteers collect and tally reading sheets and help with the Celebrity Readers bulletin board.
Daily Whale - Janet Pepsin, Chairperson
Volunteers are needed to help with the school newspaper: collecting articles, typing, copying and distribution.
Enrichment - Karen Golembieski, Chairperson
Volunteers research and schedule assembly programs for the students - approximately five times per year.
Fingerprinting - Sue Moccarro, Chairperson
Volunteers coordinate safety program with Police Department.
Fun Day - Pat Estavanik & Doris Finn, Chairpersons
Volunteers set-up, clean-up, and help children participate in our annual fun day.
Fundraising - Barbara DePalo,1st Vice-President
Volunteers are needed to distribute packets, collect orders, and schedule pickups.
Great Race - Kyle Robbins, Chairperson
Volunteers help with pep rally, collect entry forms, and organize snacks for the day of the race.
Holiday Craft Shop - Dorothy Pepi, Chairperson
Volunteers help prepare crafts, help students with crafts, help with set-up and clean-up.
Hospitality - Chairperson needed
Volunteers will be called upon to provide baked goods or make coffee when needed for meetings or events during the school year.
Jump Rope for Heart - Kim O'Friel, Chairperson
Volunteers work with Ms. Fitzpatrick on our annual charity event held in February. Duties include manning stations throughout the day, providing drinks and fruit, collecting donations and distributing prizes.
Kindergarten Orientation - Jen Rozzo
Volunteers help to set-up crafts, read books, and meet and greet future kindergarteners as they visit our school.

Volunteers help the librarian with circulation of books.

Volunteers help unpack boxes and fill orders for monthly market day sale.
Para-Professional Appreciation - Chairperson needed
Volunteers help prepare brunch during National Education Week in May.

Volunteers help set-up, sell, and distribute flowers during our plant sales in September/October and May.

Volunteers solicit team members, help with fundraisers, schedule track walkers and help decorate and set up the New Monmouth tent.
Science Share - Chairperson needed
Volunteers help to organize the fair, help children set up projects and clean-up afterwards.

Volunteers gather and type information, then distribute the directory.

Volunteers help with ticket and snack sales, attend practices and help out on the night of the show.
