Health and Safety Program
Health is a separate subject from Physical Education and, as such, a passing grade in health must be earned each year.

Family Life  - Grade 9
The course is part of a sequence in which Family Life is presented in grades K-12.
Emphasis in this course is placed on helping students develop standards for responsible behavior, understanding of human growth and development, family planning, and family problems.

Theory of Safe Driving  - Grade 10
All tenth-grade students are instructed in the theory of safe driving.  The course seeks to develop proper attitudes for the prospective driver, an understanding of traffic laws, and an understanding of driver capabilities and limitations.
 -
All driver education students take a state-administered  test on laws and traffic knowledge.  Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate is issued which may be honored by insurance companies for a reduction of insurance rates.

Contemporary Health Issues    Grade 11
The course is designed to provide students with an up to date study of health problems and to assist students in using health resources wisely.  Students are encouraged to follow an intelligent daily regimen so they can expect the level of health they enjoy as a young person to continue as they get older.

  Family Life Grade 12
The course is designed to help students develop a greater self-awareness and begin to think about interpersonal relationships and preparation for marriage.   To aid students in making personal decisions about their future, information on marriage and single living is presented. Modern marriage, family organization, and customs are discussed. Topics of general interest and concern to students are also the subject matter of this course.
