Plans for the week of April 30- May 4, 2007

This week we will begin reading the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of this story.  This is Miss Harper’s first and only novel, set during the height of the Depression, and deals with prejudice, bravery, cowardice, one’s conscience, and social expectations. You will familiarize yourself with the characters and the events of the plot as we read some key chapters in class and for homework.
