Plans for the week of
February 5-9, 2007
This week we
will finish our work with Arthur Miller’s
1949 Pulitzer Prize winning play, “Death of a Salesman.” We’ll hand in
our Book/Exam notes for a Test grade (first of MP3!) We will introduce
the IDEPortal system and work on our classroom. On Friday, we will go to
hear a presentation by a Holocaust survivor in preparation for beginning
our Night unit.
Monday –February 5, 2007
Review the plans for the week. Continue viewing the film “Death of a
Salesman.”
Homework:
Complete the Main Character page for Willie Loman—4 facts for each
category.
Tuesday – February 6,
2007-Viewpoint Meeting
Finish viewing the film “Death of a Salesman.” Review Act II and
Requiem. Add midterm papers to our writing portfolios and graded papers
to our binders. Add to Book/Exam Notes.
Homework:
Complete the Main Character page for Biff Loman—4 facts for each
category.
Wednesday– February 7, 2007-
Add
Theme and Symbols to the Book/Exam notes. Introduce the IDEPortal idea
of learning. Help create in ideal IDEPortal classroom.
Homework:
Complete the Main Character pages for Linda and Happy Loman—3 facts for
each category, to be handed in for a test grade tomorrow.
Thursday, February 8 ,
2007-Thoughtful Thursday
Hand
in Book/Exam notes. Write a K-W-L for the Holocaust. Introduce the
concept of Priming. Discuss tomorrow’s presentation by Mr. Chapnick.
Discuss how to ask delicate questions.
