This week we will continue to read John Steinbeck’s Depression-era short novel, Of Mice and Men. We will predict upcoming events in the novel and begin our Book/Exam Notes.

Monday – November 27, 2006

Manners Monday Review—How was the holiday at your house? Go over the plans for the week. Revisit Of Mice and Men, Chapter 1, and begin a Predicting and Validating Strategy Chart—Will Lennie and George be successful at the new ranch? Begin to read Chapter 2.

Tuesday – November 28, 2006-Viewpoint Meeting

Finish Chapter 2, Of Mice and Men. Answer the short answer questions (a Quiz grade) for Chapter 2 of OMAM. Remember to use T-A-G, rephrase the question, and answer in full sentences for an excellent grade.

Wednesday – November 29, 2006

Fill in page 1 of the Book/Exam Notes for Of Mice and Men, and begin Main Character pages, including Physical Descriptions for George Milton and Lennie Smalls. Continue to read Of Mice and Men, beginning Chapter 3.
