For each marking period and exam, select the grade by selecting the appropriate radio button.
Once you have selected grades for all six items,
the numeric grade and recommended letter grade will be displayed at the bottom of the window.
The letter grade is determined by rounding to the nearest whole number,
except numeric grades below 1.5 are rounded to an F,
and numeric grades between 1.5 and 3.5 are rounded to a D.
The displayed letter grade is a recommendation based on the numeric grade;
you can override this recommendation and choose another letter grade.
Whatever letter grade you choose, you will have to enter the grade into SASI.
Once you have noted the grade for one student, you shoud select the Clear button
(which clears all the grade buttons)
before starting a new student.
To determine if a student could be exempt from the final exam,
select the 'N' button for the final exam
and either 'N' or the estimated 4th marking period grade.
The program will display the final grade based only on the first three (or four)
marking periods and the midterm.
