ASTHMA EDUCATION

  •  Students in school with asthma should have an Asthma Action Plan (AAP) filled out and signed by a medical provider.  During Covid 19 and for children over 4 years of age, an inhaler and spacer/chamber is recommended instead of a nebulizer to administer asthma medications. Please discuss this change with your pediatrician.  This plan outlines the best way to manage the child's asthma, including medications needed.  Using inhalers with a spacer is recommended for children, rather than the nebulizer, especially away from home.

Iggy and The Inhalers is a terrific way for you and your student to learn about manging their asthma.
