A Message From Mr. Thomas Olausen

Hello South Community,

It is an honor and a privilege to return to Middletown South to serve as your Principal. I am a proud graduate of the HSS Class of 1983 and my experience as a student-athlete here ultimately drove my decision to become an educator. I was part of the South community as an Assistant Principal, Social Studies teacher, Special Education teacher, and coach from 1995 through January, 2008, when I became Principal at Nut Swamp. I have served as Principal at Thorne Middle School from 2010 until my official return to South on July 1, 2021.

This is a special community and I am thrilled to be part of it once again. I look forward to meeting and working with you to provide the best possible High School experience for all of our students.
