• Principal's Message

It is my honor to welcome you to Thompson Middle School, Home of the Lions!  My name is Brian Currie and I continue to be excited to serve this school’s community as Principal.

Our Thompson Family prides itself on committing to our students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being with its dedicated and caring staff. Our staff is focused on ensuring the highest education possible and maximizing every student’s individual success through personalized learning opportunities, developing social and emotional skills, use of technology in a meaningful way, preparing them for a rapidly changing global society, and fostering partnerships with the greater Middletown community. We believe that each of our students' successful journey through middle school happens with a strong parent-student-educator relationship!

At Thompson, we offer many academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular opportunities, and we continue to expand on those opportunities! We understand that middle school is a time of transition and we are committed to supporting this transition in 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade. We set the expectation that each student reaches their full potential, while instilling a love of learning and equipping them with the necessary skills for success in school and in life. We want our students to develop organizational, time-management, problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills while thinking independently.

Communication is important to our school. Please do not hesitate to contact administration, your child’s teacher(s), and the guidance office for support. Our goal is to work together in providing our students with an optimal learning experience. We are very proud of our school and our students! Together with our staff, our supportive families, and our students, our hope is that each student that travels through the halls of Thompson, contributes to a positive, fulfilling, and inclusive environment and finds their own success!

    Go Thompson Lions!
