The
Fourth Annual Digital Learning Month is upon us. Rather than making this month
about different forms of technology and how they can be used, the planning
committee decided to focus on highlighting the learning activities that are
already happening at South and the digital tools that are enhancing them.
Every
week for the month of March, we will feature,
on our website, a different
activity or lesson that is taking place around the school. Our goal
is to not only help share new technology tools, but to share the amazing
activities that are happening in classrooms all over South and how technology
has enhanced them.
On Tuesday of each week, we will have Tech Tip Tuesday--a day devoted
entirely to one technology tool that may not be linked directly to a classroom
lesson. These may include ones for informal professional development or helping
you be more productive during the work day.
You
can find the MiddSouth Digital Learning Showcase at:
http://bit.ly/middsouthDLS. Besides
finding the Featured Activity, you will also find a nomination form. If you or
any of your colleagues have a lesson that you think should be featured on the
site, please submit this anonymous form. We will contact the teacher to gather
more information and then feature the lesson later in the month.
We
will send out daily reminders with an overview of the featured activity each
day both via email and through our Twitter account (
@MiddSouthDLS). Thank you, in
advance, for participating in Digital Learning Month and for being lifelong
learners.
